How does it work?

Request an Expert Medical Opinion and get a comprehensive review of your diagnosis or treatment plan. Your information remains private and confidential. AIA will not see this report unless you choose to share it.

  • 1 Request an Expert Medical Opinion

    Contact us any time to trigger the start of the Expert Medical Opinion service. A dedicated New Zealand GP will be appointed to support you throughout the process.

  • 2 Collection of medical records

    Our GPs will contact you to discuss your case in detail and collect any medical records on your behalf.

  • 3 Review of medical records

    Our medical team analyses the clinical information, along with the information you provided on the first call, and identifies the key issues.

  • 4 Select the best expert

    For your specific condition, our team selects an Expert who is the most knowledgeable in their field.

  • 5 Analyse the case

    The Expert reviews the case and the supporting materials. Once reviewed, they will send an in-depth report with advice on your diagnosis and treatment options.

  • 6 Review the report and share with your treating doctors

    Our GPs will discuss the report with you, which you can then share with your treating doctors.
